Storyline: A Determined Kabaddi Player’s Rise Against All Odds
Set in the 1990s, Bison revolves around Kittan Velusamy, a young boy from a marginalized community in rural Tamil Nadu. Growing up with the dream of excelling in kabaddi, he begins his journey during his school years.
However, his path is far from easy. Kittan faces multiple roadblocks, including:
- Social discrimination
- Prejudices from dominant groups
- Pressure from his own family
- Hostility and violence from local rivals
Despite these challenges, his natural sportsmanship and unwavering spirit push him to fight back. The film chronicles how Kittan eventually rises to become a national kabaddi player representing India at the Asian Games.
The narrative draws inspiration from the real struggles of kabaddi athlete P. Ganesan.
